LB Water Hosts 17 Business Partners at 2013 Summit Event in San Antonio

January 31, 2013

SELINSGROVE, PA – The 2013 LB Water Partnership Summit was held January 30— February 1, 2013 at the JW Marriott Hill Country Resort in San Antonio, TX. LB Water, an emerging supplier of choice in the Mid-Atlantic states for water infrastructure and technology products, hosted seventeen partner companies to discuss the foundations of their past, their present successes and the future goals for their waterworks business.

The Summit was guided by three motives: communication, collaboration and celebration. In a series of business meetings and leisure activities, LB Water had the opportunity to discuss  business relations and engage in a dialogue with its partners about how they can better serve the water and wastewater industry.

With the philosophy that “the only thing separating us from our competition is our people,” LB Water operates within an employee-owned culture and values continuous employee development. In 2012, the company was named one of the Best Places to Work in PA by the statewide awards program made up of several Pennsylvania foundations and councils. LB Water used the Summit opportunity to educate vendors on those employee values and the successes that have come from those principles. Since 2010, LB Water has added 848 new customer accounts and expanded their market into Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio, New Jersey and Delaware.

At the Summit, LB Water also introduced a five-year strategic plan to increase profits, expand their service area, and broaden the services and products they provide. Currently, LB Water customers are independent contractors, followed by municipalities and government agencies.

Between business meetings, the attendees had the chance to enjoy the world class TPC golf  course, and a tour of San Antonio, including the Riverwalk and  the historic Alamo.

“The Summit was a great way to get to know the vendors and partners we work with every day and educate them on our growing success in the Mid-Atlantic region,” said Fred Steimling CEO of LB Water.
