LB Water Names Interim CEO

July 23, 2014

SELINSGROVE, PA – LB Water today announced that Jim App, chairman of the company’s board of directors, will serve as interim chief executive officer.  App succeeds former LB Water CEO Fred Steimling, who died July 18 following complications from a cardiac arrest.

“LB Water’s board of directors has tremendous confidence not only in Jim App and his ability to lead the organization during this time of transition but also in the employees and management of the company,” said board member Walt VanNuys. “All day-to-day activities and related decision making should continue to function smoothly.”

“Everyone associated with LB Water has worked hard to create something that is bigger than any one of us,” said App, who will lead the organization with support from a transition-management team while the company conducts a search for a new CEO.  “Although this is a time of sadness, it is also a time of renewed confidence and energy for us, not only for ourselves and the customers we value and serve but also as a tribute to those who have gone before us.” App said the company will consider both internal and external candidates.
